The Michelangelo Phenomenon, also known as the Michelangelo Effect, describes a dynamic in close relationships where partners actively help each other move closer to their ideal selves. It's the idea that partners "sculpt" each other, influencing the other's growth and development in positive ways. This is achieved by partners recognizing and supporting each other's ideal self-goals.
