High in the Himalayas, a man once invited me into his small home in the mountains. ๐๏ธ On the table was a jar filled with magic mushrooms preserved in honey. ๐๐ฏ He told me that every morning, before starting work, he takes a spoon from the jar. Then he walks into the mountains carrying sacks of grain weighing around 60 kg, using only a strap across his forehead โ the traditional way many porters in Nepal transport heavy loads. ๐พ He said the mushrooms help him stay focused and keep going during the long climbs. Moments like this remind me how different life โ and peopleโs relationship with nature โ can be in remote parts of the world. Travel isnโt just about places. Itโs about the stories you find along the way. https://x.com/JIX5A/status/2033266219483021737
