Document Management System
The Harmonized Document Management or HDM functionality is a solution based on the existing Attachment Service solution in SAP S/4HANA. It intends to harmonize the process of handling attachments across the leading applications that consume attachment service. Depending on their business needs, different applications use different document management frameworks such as Document Management (DMS), Generic Object Services (GOS), or ArchiveLink to handle attachments.
