HAL Cheetah

The "Cheetah helicopter" refers to the HAL Cheetah, an Indian light utility helicopter licensed and manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), based on the French Aérospatiale SA 315B Lama helicopter, designed for high-altitude operations like those in the Himalayas. It serves roles in reconnaissance, search and rescue, and transport and is being replaced by new light utility helicopters due to its age and increasing maintenance issues.
