Purana
Puranam is a genre of ancient Indian literature containing legends, myths, and traditional lore about cosmology, genealogies, and history. These texts are often written as dialogues and are known for their stories and symbolism. The 18 major Puranas, attributed to the sage Vyasa, are foundational texts in Hindu tradition that cover a vast range of topics, from the creation of the universe to specific religious duties and rituals.
