Vinod Khanna was an Indian actor, film producer and politician who is best known for his work in Hindi films; while also being a notable spiritual seeker. In Bollywood, he was the recipient of two Filmfare awards. Khanna was considered a style & fashion icon, often referred as 'Sexy Sanyasi' in media.

In 1982, Vinod Khanna shocked Bollywood by leaving at the peak of his fame to join Osho's commune in Oregon for spiritual enlightenment. Despite pleas from Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor to stay, Khanna was resolute. He later returned to Bollywood, reintegrating with Mahesh Bhatt's help through the film 'Jurm'.
